BrightLoop: from page two to top three on eleven core terms

How a project-management SaaS brand used a blended guest post and niche edit strategy to overtake three category leaders on organic search.

The challenge

BrightLoop had strong product-market fit and a healthy content library, but its core product pages were stuck on page two for the terms that actually drove trial signups. A previous link vendor had placed links on high-DR but topically irrelevant sites, which hadn't moved the needle and left the team wary of link building altogether.

The approach

We started with a full backlink audit and competitor gap analysis, then built a target list weighted toward SaaS, productivity, and remote-work publications — the exact readership BrightLoop's product page needed to reach. The first two months focused on niche edits into already-ranking productivity roundups, chosen for speed. From month three onward, we layered in original guest post content addressing specific product use cases, plus one quarterly digital PR push built around a remote-work survey BrightLoop had already run internally.

What we placed

  • 58 niche edits

Inserted into existing productivity and remote-work roundup articles.

  • 31 guest posts

Original articles on workflow and team-management publications.

  • 7 digital PR placements

Coverage of BrightLoop's remote-work survey in trade and business press.

The result

By month nine, eleven core product keywords had moved into the top three results, organic sessions were up 248% year over year, and trial signups attributed to organic search had more than doubled. BrightLoop renewed at the Authority tier to defend the new rankings against category competitors.

"We'd been burned by a cheap link vendor before. Backlinkse sends us the draft and the live URL for every single placement — nothing goes up without a review."
